CALSoft allows you the option to record or "map" the location of your Temperature Distribution leads in the retort.
Before you can use this feature, you must set up the retort design on the TD file screen or TD test documentation screen. You will need to enter the basket, loading, and layer information. Once that is set up, you can map out the locations of the leads, by clicking on "Lead Location." This will pull up the Lead Location section/page, which contains a table on the left, and a schematic representation on the right. The schematic representation will include a SIDE VIEW and also a TOP VIEW of the basket.
The table will show all ACTIVE leads (bad leads and open channels will not be displayed). There are 4 columns for you to use when recording the location of each lead:
- On TID?- select this checkbox if a lead is located by the sensor of the Temperature Indicating Device (TID) such as a MIG thermometer, Chart recorder, or RTD sensor.
- Basket- indicate which basket the lead is located in. NOTE: crateless retorts are shown as ONE basket.
- Layer- indicate which layer the lead is located in. NOTE: crateless retorts are shown with 3 layers: upper, middle, and lower.
- Top View- using the top-view graphic as a reference, determine which section the lead is located. This is provided simply to give you the ability to record the general location of the lead on the layer.
Note: There is a CALSoft Setup Controls Preference called "Lead Locations Use Standard Top A to E Grid." By un-checking this preference, you can specify that the Top View is not the standard A-E Selection. When unchecked, you can input any text for the Top View and there is no longer a Top View Graphic. The Side View of the Retort will still be shown.
Click "Print Lead Location" to print a lead location information report.
