Click on the "NEW" button to begin a new Temperature Distribution (TD) test. CALSoft will then ask you to name and save the TD data file. The file name defaults to the date and sequential number indicating the number of tests you have run that day. The format is YYMMDD##. For example:
The first test run on December 15, 2019 will be named... 19121501.ctd
All Temperature Distribution files are saved with the extension ".CTD".
Upon first use of CALSoft, these TD data files are stored by default in the CALSoft subdirectory titled "Data." However, you may choose another location to store your TD data files.
CALSoft then displays a form to enter information about the TD test design, equipment, and product that will be tested. This is referred to as the Test Documentation screen.
The bottom of the Test Documentation screen is where the user begins Data Collection.
Once Data Collection begins, CALSoft brings the user to the TD Data Collection screen, which shows the data being collected/scanned and provides different views to display the time/temperature data. Other information can be logged into the CALSoft file during the test.
When the test is completed, you can end Data Collection and work within the TD File itself.
