CALSoft enables you to assign Critical Factors to the calculated process. Critical Factors assigned by the Process Authority are related to the product, container, or retort, and must be controlled within their limits in order to ensure the safety of the calculated process time. Go to the "Critical Factors" section of the Calculate Process tab/screen to assign the factors related to this process.
The Product Data Factors and their recorded readings from the HP test (where the selected thermocouple is taken from) can be found by clicking "View Product Data For File" (this is just for your reference). To add a product data factor that is critical to the process, click "Add" and a box with sample text will be added to the list. Click on any text (under the "Text" column) to add/edit your description of the critical factor. These critical factors will be shown on the printed final Process Schedule. To remove a critical factor, click "Delete."
NOTE: the first critical factor is set by default to be "Product Formulation & Preparation Procedures..." You can change this default in the Preferences section (click "Preferences" at the top right of the main CALSoft homepage and go to the "Process Factors" tab).
