During Data Collection, CALSoft enables you to enter "Event" readings during the Heat Penetration test. To enter these events, use the buttons and boxes at the top of the screen during data-collection.
CUT:
When the test begins, the current Come-Up Time (CUT) will be displayed automatically. The CUT can be changed later when the data file is evaluated. CALSoft will automatically alert you when all the Free Leads have reached the target Retort Temperature (which is displayed to the right of the phase times, along with the target F value). The alert will appear under the Target Values, and will say "Free Leads have reached Target Retort Temp" followed by the time RT was reached.
Cook Start:
Once the Cook Phase has begun, select the "Cook Start" button. The time the button was pressed will appear in the box. The CUT will stop counting, and the current phase time will be displayed under "Cook." The cook start time can be changed at any point during the test, as well as after data collection ends.
Cooling Start:
Once the Cook Phase is completed and the retort goes into the Cooling Phase, select the "Cooling Start" button. The time the button was pressed will appear in the box. The Cook Phase Time will stop counting, and the current phase time will be displayed under "Cool." The cooling start time can be changed at any point during the test, as well as after data collection ends.
* CALSoft will also alert you when the target F value has been reached. The data collection screen will turn orange and an alert will appear that says "All TC Leads have reached the Target F Values."
