Within the Preferences window, click the "Process Factors" tab to access the following preferences:
- Ball Formula Method- These default factors are used during Process Calculation to calculate cook time (Bb). These include:
- IT (Initial Temperature)
- RT (Retort Temperature)
- TREF (Reference Temperature)
- Z (Z-Value)
- F (F-Value)
- pc
- Include GM in Ball Report (include General Method in your Ball Summary Report by default)
- TC Correction (Thermocouple Correction)
- Select the default Ball Formula used... either TechniCAL's 9th Degree Ball Formula (Standard Method) or the Modified Ball Formula
- General Method- These default settings are used during Process Calculation for accumulated lethality (F) value. These include:
- TREF (Reference Temperature)
- Z (Z-Value)
- First Critical Factor Record- This text is added as the first Critical Factor for every new Process Calculation
- Initial Temperature- Set the default IT range for Process Calculation, by entering the low, high, and interval
- Retort Temperature- Set the default RT range for Process Calculation, by entering the low, high, and interval
