CALSoft can be installed on any computer using Microsoft Windows (any version, but optimized for Windows 10). To install CALSoft, you must have administrator rights on the computer you wish to use. Follow these instructions to install and activate CALSoft 6:
- Go to https://tcal.com/download-calsoft from the computer you wish to install onto and follow the instructions.
** NOTE: you MUST have administrator rights in Windows in order to properly install the software. - During the CALSoft 6 installation, the "Destination Folder" is displayed. This is where the software will be installed. The default is C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\TCAL\CALSoft6 . See example below....
*** NOTE: If you change this to a different location, you will need to grant all users Full Privileges to the folder where you install CALSoft (grant all users Full Control) in order to avoid errors while collecting data and calibration files. See this article for more detailed instructions on this. - When you get to the activation step, enter the activation code provided to you when you purchased CALSoft 6. You can use that activation code to install/activate CALSoft 6 on up to 2 computers, if you purchased the Full Version. If you purchased the Collect Only Version, you can only use the activation code on 1 computer.
- If you get a message saying that the number of allowed activations has been reached, that means CALSoft 6 is still installed on another computer. If you removed it, you may not have properly uninstalled the software from the other computer. In that case, try again to uninstall from the other computer (using the instructions on this article). If you get that same message after removing CALSoft 6 from the other computer, please contact us at support@tcal.com and we will assist you.
