VERSION RELEASED: Version 6.1.2.3
An updated version of our CALSoft 6 software is now available. To get the update choose “Check for Current Version” in the USER Menu Item in the ribbon menu…
Follow the instructions if a new version is available.
**You must be connected to the internet to update your software.
The new features and changes in this version include
Data Collection
- During data collection (heat penetration or temperature distribution), if the computer lost communication with the CALPlex datalogger, a message was displayed "lost connection with datalogger", then on the next scan, an error message would be displayed "CurrentVarNum must be set before calling SetCurrentVar_ValArray" and the sysetm would be locked in an error loop, forcing the user to shut down during a test and restart CALSoft. This was fixed by removing this error and preventing the lock-up during data collection. Now, if communication with CALPlex is lost during data collection, a message will be displayed "lost connection with datalogger", and all zeros will be collected for that scan. The test will continue without an error/lock-up situation. (#399)
Temperature Distribution File:
- After a Temperature Distribution file is created, the user has the ability to see the "Accumulated Lethality" for each channel of data. The lethalities are calculated using a specific z value and Tref value. The following issues were fixed related to this:
- For TD data files created using a CALPlex Datalogger, this value was saved with the TD file as a standard Z=18F and Tref=250F, and was not taken from the user's preferences. This was changed so that the Z and Tref values assigned to any TD file come from the Z and Tref values in the Preferences under Process Factors, General Method (#378).
- For TD data files created manually (imported or copy-pasted to create a .CTD file), the Z and Tref values were not set and were zero. This resulted in no lethalities being shown. This was changed so that the Z and Tref values assigned to any TD file come from the Z and Tref values in the Preferences under Process Factors, General Method (#400).
- The user could not change the Z and Tref values in a TD file. A change was made to allow the user to change the Z and Tref values assigned to a TD file. To do this... Open the TD file and click the Time/Temp/Lethalities button to display the pop-up window. Then click the new "Set Lethality Values" link (under the Temp / Lethalities toggle button at the top) to allow the user to change and save the Z and Tref values for that TD file. (#378)
Calculate Process
- On the ProCAL Process Calculation page, there is a button for "Update Process Complete", which will update the date to the current date. A change was made to add a "confirmation" message, asking the user if they are sure they want to update the date process complete before the change is made. (This same change was made for the Set CUT/Vent section). (#401)
